    Description
    An artifact of 19th century American maritime history, an oak block with two Lignum vitae sheaves, and original hand-forged eye. It is in a very well preserved condition, with lots of old gray paint, minor signs of age and use, and an appealing, un-touched surface. Possibly from one of the many old hulks that dot the Maine coast. The block measures 6" by 4 3/4". It is 8 1/2" long, including hook.
