Pick P-90s / UnO 363 / Kuki H-178 / Perforations like NIETIG, NIETIGBT, INGETROKKEN, CANCELLED, VERNIETIGD, WAARDELOOS were used to cancel banknotes from the Netherlands, Netherlands Indies, Suriname and Curacao. The perforations were used on specimen and issued notes. The reason to cancel issued notes, was most likely for the notes to be used in financial related institutions becasue of a shortage of official available specimen overprinted banknotes. The perforations were used to make sure, the banknotes would not return in circulation again.
