This unique device learns virtually everything from you, your engine and your tach. The only configuration needed is to select the tach signal voltage range. The rest is literally 4 button-pushes, and the RSA's patented programming method won't require you to over-rev your motor while it's learning. Except for final checkout, you won't even need to drive the car. The tach circuitry is the same as our tried-and-true BTA Universal Converter, so the RSA can handle any tach source from a 5V cam sensor to a 350V HEI. The onboard relay is a bruiser in a midget suit, able to drive 25 amps to any load you please for at least 100,000 cycles. It works NC or NO, so it can also handle non-nitrous tasks like AC compressor cutout, boost/dump control, 2-speed fuel pump control, or any other task that needs to happen according to RPM. The hookup is 6 simple wires (power, ground, tach, enable, and relay input/output) using 1/4" fastons from any parts store. The handy Enable input can share your nitrous system's on-off switch if it uses a grounding switch like most. The device can stand 225 degF in case it needs to live in your engine box. The LED's allow you to verify your programming at any time, and changing your mind takes only a few more button-pushes. It comes with full instructions and diagrams, plus

HOW IT WORKS:
You've probably seen other window switches, and probably noticed that they all have one thing in common -- pill programming or a fancy display. The latter expect you to configure them for ignition type, then tell them what RPM to trigger at. Most only support 4-6-8 ignitions, and some even work as a spare tachometer (not that most people need a spare).
The thing is, machines don't "think" in RPM. They think in voltages and pulse durations. For a window switch, all it really wants to know is that pulse rate X should result in action Y. It doesn't need to know what your tach says, or even if your tach signal is coming from a cam sensor instead of a spark coil.
That's what makes the RSA special. You and your engine simply "teach" it a pulse rate for turn-on, then another higher rate for redline. The redline rate is optional (using the RSA as a shift light driver requires only the "turn-on" RPM). To prevent engine stress, the RSA learns RPM thresholds at
half
the RPM you actually want to trigger at, so you can program it in the garage without ever putting the car in gear. Then, in operation, the RSA doubles the value you taught it. It's as simple as that. And because it doesn't need to know what your tach reads, the RSA will work with
any signal that reflects engine speed
