Description
This set includes a quantity of (4) ZenHeat round hand warmers (4" diameter). How hot does a ZenHeat heat pack get? The chemistry inside ZenHeat is a safe and self-regulating reaction. The maximum internal temperature reaches 128-130F and typically 115-120F at the surface during normal use.
What is inside a ZenHeat pack and how does it work? ZenHeat reusable hand warmers and instant hot packs contain water, a small metal disc and sodium acetate, a safe food grade salt ingredient. The clicking of a disk within the pad triggers the precipitation of the sodium acetate crystals. When the crystals precipitate, it releases the energy that was required to initially dissolve it and stored in the pouch. The release of energy raises the temperature to a maximum temperature of 130F (54C). The process is theoretically repeatable indefinitely. ZenHeat are a sodium acetate hand warmer.

How To Reuse The Hand Warmer:
1 – Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil. Lower heat down to a simmer.
2 – Place hand warmer in the water.
3 – Keep hand warmer in water until crystals completely dissolve and liquid turns clear (~ 15 mins).
4 – Carefully remove hand warmer and allow to cool.
